Cody's Eye Divinity Talking -
Here's how the blue robe relates to Jesus' divinity and "knowing God":
Heavenly Origin and Divine Authority: In biblical symbolism, the color blue often represents the heavens, divinity, and God's presence. Just as the High Priest in the Old Testament wore a blue robe to signify his connection to the divine realm and his role as a mediator between God and the people, Jesus embodies the perfect mediation between God and humanity. His divine nature, represented by the blue robe, indicates his heavenly origin and divine authority.
Mediation and Access to God: The blue robe, with its heavenly connotations, prefigures Christ's perfect mediation, bridging the gap between the divine and the human. Hebrews 4:14-16 states, "Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess." Through his sacrificial death and resurrection, Jesus, clothed in God's righteousness and holiness, intercedes for all. This enables believers to have direct access to God and to "know God" more fully.
