As was previously stated in an earlier drawing, multiple ::ILA:: processors can be networked to a single ::SHE:: datastore. The same is true for the datastore -- SegID's can be distributed (interleaved) among multiple ::SHE:: boxes, either in a RAID array or in a LBA-alternated structure. The effect of this is to dramatically increase thoughput, as any ::ILA:: machine can now talk to any ::SHE:: store. A load-balancing box in the middle can also assist :) Intercommunication protocols such as fibre, RPC, or just HTTP can be used, where the datastore servers accept individual segment transfers from the ::ILA:: (Interactive Language Architecture) clients. Other protocols or links may be used for testing, even RS232 (lol) :)
