The Cartographer's Secret
They say the world is flat and wide,
With monsters where the edges hide.
They say if you should sail too far,
You'll fall beneath the final star.
But in my tower, still and deep,
A different kind of truth I keep.
A golden sphere, so smooth and round,
Where continents and seas are found.
I hold it close, I hold it tight,
A secret shining in the night.
The earth is curved, the earth is whole,
A perfect circle, like a soul.
