A vibrant landscape features rolling green hills, a winding river, majestic mountains, and a dramatic sky with swirling clouds. Two quaint houses are nestled among tall pine trees in the foreground. This is derived from a painting by Grant Wood who's works (in reproduction) graced several of the schools I attended or worked in. Nobody ever said why they were there. In this, my own version, the clouds and the land are modified in much the same way which explains my invoking the old rule, "As above so below." I think I first read that in Burton's famous book Anatomy of Melancholy in which he cites it as a central idea in his time.
