Last scene in Mozart's opera:
The stature of the murdered Commendatore: "Don Giovanni, you invited me to dine with you and I came." Don Giovanni initially reacts in disbelief, but eventually orders his horrified servant Leporello to set the table. But the statue says it didn't come for the food. When Giovanni insists on asking, the statue wants to know if he is coming to dinner with him. Despite Leporello's advice to decline the invitation, Don Giovanni accepts and accepts. The coldness of the commander's hand makes Giovanni cry out and he is asked to repent and change his life. Don Giovanni repeatedly refuses, and the statue proclaims that his time is up. Flames encircle Don Giovanni, who thinks his soul is being torn apart; underground choirs shout that this is little in view of his sins, and Leporello is extremely shocked. Finally, Don Giovanni is swallowed up by the earth.
