Don't let these people down, they need help! Mental illnesses must not be taboo in society, nor should those affected be stigmatized. Very few mentally ill people are dangerous lunatics or completely crazy; they are poor souls who need help, understanding and compassion, professional help (psychiatrists, psychotherapists, psychiatric institutions), and unfortunately there are still far too few of these.
