ArtistA universe built out of of FSM's. At the top of the drawing is the title "Diversity Weekday -- FSM World".
Imagine an entire universe made of nested FSM's (Finite State Machines), each with random initial Markov weightings. From the smallest atoms, with their stacked electron orbitals, up to entire galaxies, with their orbiting planets, via living cells with their instincts and heuristics. Now imagine many, many, parallel universes, again each with its own random training weightings. There's no need for GPU algorithms, since every feasible universe will evolve its own existence through inter-FSM communication (quantum fields), and the universes that "halt" will not develop conscious observers so may as well not exist. We, the humans, must reside in one of the "successful" universes, because we can observe and control our own existence. Maybe, however, there is another parallel universe (some may call it "Heaven") where the initial FSM training weightings were even more optimal, and there is another more evolved "instance" of each of us. Maybe they even have a DDG, and are writing about us at this very moment :)
