Time's Embrace in a Barren Dream. Daly Style.

More about Time's Embrace in a Barren Dream. Daly Style.

Surrealist painting featuring a barren landscape with a body of water in the background, possibly the ocean, under a vibrant sunset sky. In the foreground, a gnarled, leafless tree stump rises from the ground on the left. A melting pocket watch hangs draped over a thin branch extending from the tree stump. On the ground to the left, an orange, oval-shaped object covered in ants sits beside another melting pocket watch, this one with a butterfly perched on its top right edge. To the right, a soft, organic form, resembling a distorted, melting face or figure, lies on the ground, with a third melting pocket watch draped over its surface. In the far background on the right, there is a distinct rock formation or cliff reflecting in the water. The overall palette includes blues, oranges, browns, and grays, contributing to a dreamlike and unsettling atmosphere.
