ArtistGod's Away on Business
A whimsical watercolor painting depicts a dreamlike scene with a series of arched doorways leading to a bright light at the end of a long hallway. The arches are ornate and colored in shades of purple, blue, and pink, creating a sense of depth and ethereal beauty. Several ghostly faces and figures are faintly visible within and around the arches, adding to the surreal atmosphere. The foreground features scattered, elongated teardrop shapes in various pastel hues, as if floating or falling. On the left side, fragmented wall decorations with peeling paint and exposed gold are present. The background transitions from light to darker pastel clouds, with splashes of purple, blue, and peach. Elegant script in black reads: "I was long inside a dream I could not get loose I will tell you of it although there is little use to tell a dream when dreaming is all you ever do....." The overall aesthetic is soft, illustrative, and conveys a feeling of a transient, subconscious experience.
