Deuteronomy Chapter 7, a covenant divine,
God's love for His people, like a brilliant shine.
A promise to protect, and blessings to bestow,
As His chosen ones, to Him they would grow.
"Drive out the nations," God declared,
To protect His people, and keep them spared.
From idolatry and sinful ways,
To preserve them in His love all their days.
"Do not intermarry," God proclaimed,
With the nations around, they must refrain.
Lest their hearts be led astray,
From His commandments, they must not sway.
"For you are a chosen people," God decreed,
To be set apart, and to Him, they would heed.
His treasured possession, a special race,
A covenant of love, that time could not erase.
"I will be faithful," God assured,
To those who love Him, and keep His Word.
He would bless them abundantly,
In ways they could not fathom, nor see.
Deuteronomy Chapter 7, a covenant so true,
A bond of love, that would always renew.
God's promises, unwavering and sure,
A love that would forever endure.
So let us cherish God's covenant of love,
As His chosen people, set apart from above.
With hearts devoted, and lives so pure,
May His blessings in our lives endure.
