In the palace of Zeus, we see Pandora, seated upon the floor on the floor in a lotus position, with the infamous “Pandora's box“ is directly in front of her. She has opened the lid of the box and is looking into it. There is a look of shock and horror on her face. An eerie, otherworldly glow illuminatesher face from within the box. Mists and vaporous fumes have risen from the box and are all about the room. Within the mist and fumes, the images and shapes of horrible, hellish creatures can be seen. They represent the plethora of evils that Pandora has just released upon the world: famine, disease, plague, and all manner of debauchery and horror is represented in these many figures and shapes.
In an opulent, candlelit room, a woman kneels before an ornate box, from which swirling, ethereal spirits emerge, creating an enchanting yet eerie atmosphere of mystery and intrigue.
