An enchanting panoramic illustration depicts an idyllic spring scene in a rural landscape, centred on a long-eared, anthropomorphic hare wearing glasses, a brown waistcoat and a brown shirt. The hare sits behind a small wooden fence, completely engrossed in reading a newspaper entitled ‘The Hare Journal’, whilst looking over his shoulder at the viewer with a friendly expression. To the left of the hare stands a traditional European-style half-timbered house with a brown roof and a sign above the door reading ‘Hare’s Lair’. The house has several windows; in one window stands a basket of colourful Easter eggs, and carrots are displayed above the door. In front of the house is a pond with water lily leaves and a swimming duck, with daffodils and tulips blooming on its banks.
The scene extends into a lush allotment garden filled with a vibrant array of spring flowers, including white, yellow and purple daffodils, pink and yellow tulips, and blue hyacinths. Scattered amongst the flowers are several wooden rabbit figures and colourful Easter eggs. The garden also features a small pond with a rabbit holding a cornucopia depicted in the centre. A stone path runs through the allotment, and there is a green park bench and gardening tools such as a hoe and a watering can. A small garden gnome figure wearing a red hat and a blue shirt stands amidst the flowers.
In the background, a stoney sand track winds its way through rolling green hills dotted with blossoming trees, evoking the feeling of spring approaching.
Wishing all of you a Happy Easter, yours H.u.o.n.G
