A Surrealist painting by Remedios Varo titled 'Hacia la torre', depicts a landscape with a blue camel-like creature with a large, ornate, multi-domed structure on its back, resembling a Russian Orthodox church or a series of hot-air balloons. The creature has a spiky red mane, small red boots, and its body is covered in colorful, jewel-like circular patterns. It stands on four slender legs in a golden-brown field under a light blue sky. In front of it, three smaller, equally fantastical pack horses in green, pink, and purple follow. The green horse is at the forefront, followed by the pink one which has a gnome-like figure riding on its back. The purple horse is behind the large blue creature. In the background, there are two distinct, fantastical buildings that resemble castles or palaces, each with rounded domes and spires, under a vast, cloudless blue sky. Trees and hills can be seen in the distant landscape.
