ArtistAn almost-black rider and horse cut across a blue opening between trees, where the horse's raised foreleg becomes a crisp hooked shape. The rider's head nearly touches a low branch. That accidental near-contact gives the pair a theatrical, storybook pose, as if the tree is crowning the rider. The horse's long muzzle points into the empty path.
A full shot of a medieval horseman in a cloak riding a rearing horse in a dark forest at dusk, the entire scene is silhouetted against a dark blue sky, the horse is rearing on its hind legs with its front hooves up, the horseman is wearing a flowing cape and a helmet, the horse has a long flowing mane and tail, the trees are dark and silhouetted against the sky, there is a path in the foreground with fallen leaves, the background is a misty forest of dark pine trees, the overall mood is mysterious and dramatic.
