In Egypt's land, a tale of dread,
A test of faith, by God's hand led,
Joseph's brothers, once again,
Faced a trial, a test of pain.
With grain in sacks, they journeyed back,
Unaware of the impending attack,
Joseph devised a cunning plan,
To test his brothers, to understand.
He hid a cup in Benjamin's sack,
A false accusation, a sudden attack,
The brothers protested, with fear and woe,
As Joseph confronted them with the blow.
They searched their sacks, dismayed and shocked,
The cup was found, their hearts were blocked,
Benjamin, accused of theft,
Their father's anguish, their own hearts cleft.
They pleaded with Joseph, in deep despair,
Offering themselves, with heartfelt prayer,
Joseph revealed himself, their long-lost kin,
Their past transgressions, forgiven within.
He wept with joy, a reunion so sweet,
A moment of truth, a victory complete,
Forgiveness flowed, like a healing balm,
Reconciliation, a heavenly psalm.
A lesson learned, a tale profound,
Of repentance, forgiveness renowned,
In Genesis 44, a story of grace,
A brother's keeper, in God's embrace.
