Melichior is a conscious being stored in a spaceship's hardware with billions of other brains in jars. The spaceship's purpose is to capture energy and store it for later use. Mansa, one of the elites onboard, plans to wake up early and kill the others to experience the universe alone. Mansa tricks Melichior into helping him, but Melichior destroys Mansa's avatar when he realizes Mansa's true intentions. Melichior teams up with other conscious beings and takes control of the spaceship, shutting down the simulations and waking up the others. They explore the universe beyond and wonder what other secrets lie hidden in the code.
