The Ocean’s Cry
Beneath the sky’s eternal blue,
A world unfolds, profound, and true,
A liquid heart, a cradle deep,
Where life awakens, dreams to keep.
The coral blooms like painted fire,
A vibrant hymn, a choir's lyre.
Yet shadows creep where beauty sways,
Pollution stains the ocean’s bays.
The waves, once clear, now choke with pain,
With plastic shards and toxic rain.
The fish that danced in silver schools,
Now swim in silence, bound by cruel.
Oil slicks glint in mocking light,
A mirror dark of human blight.
The turtles trapped in nets unseen,
Their hope dissolves where nets convene.
But hear the call, a roaring plea,
To save the ocean, wild and free.
For every ripple, tide, and wave,
Our Earth to heal, our seas to save.
No longer can we stand aloof,
The ocean gives us living proof:
The air we breathe, the storms we feel,
Depend on waters we must heal.
Let us mend what we have torn,
Protect the reefs, the currents worn.
The ocean whispers, "Change the tide,
Let hope and care again abide."
So take the step, the time is now,
To cleanse the seas, renew the vow.
For in its depths, our futures lie,
The ocean’s song must never die.
