Flat earth,ends of the earth, and the sun “going around” reaslsitic,authentic , compatible with a disc bordered by a cosmic river, or with a more layered spherical cosmos.The Sun was a flaming chariot that was driven across the skies during the day and returned from the west to the east through underground passages during the night. No real concern about northern and southern extents, not what else was to the east or west. A dome above the Earth comprised the Heavens, whilst a dome beneath the Earth's surface comprised the Underworld. Both of these were of equal size - it was said that an anvil dropped from the top of the Heavens would take nine days to hit the Earth's surface, and that if an anvil could fall unobstructed from the Earth's surface, it would take nine days to hit the bottom of the Tartarean Pit in the Underworld's depth.
