Graphite and watercolor mixed-media portrait: A delicate female face with almond-shaped eyes, with the irises as the primary focal point. The irises are rendered as watercolor paintings: translucent layers of blue, green and pink pigments, softly blended within the natural boundaries of each iris, with subtle wet-on-wet diffusion, delicate pigment granulation and visible watercolour brush texture. The blue, green and pink watercolour palette remains visible exclusively within the irises, with the colours softly extending across the iris surface in delicate translucent washes, with no watercolour pigmentation, no coloured under-eye area and no eyeshadow. The tears remain narrow, clearly defined streams and do not spread across the face, but merge together. Natural skin texture, subtle pores, fine facial lines, slight tonal irregularities, delicate imperfections, realistic skin variation, visible graphite linework beneath translucent watercolor washes - not airbrushed, not digitally retouched, not porcelain skin, not plastic skin, not beauty-filter skin, not flawless skin, BUT delicately painted skin retaining visible natural texture and subtle imperfections. The face, lips, neck, hands and surrounding moss share a cohesive painterly aesthetic, while the watercolor treatment remains a distinctive characteristic of the irises only. ©Sorrah
