Jacob gathered his sons, in his final days,
To bless them all, in unique ways,
He spoke with wisdom, a prophetic voice,
Foretelling their future, by God's choice.
Reuben, his firstborn, once so strong,
Lost his birthright, for a sinful wrong,
Jacob's blessing, withheld from his hand,
For Reuben's heart, did not withstand.
Simeon and Levi, brothers in strife,
Their anger fierce, brought trouble and strife,
Their inheritance, divided and spread,
For shedding blood, their sin was dread.
Judah, the lion, a kingly seed,
From him, a ruler would indeed succeed,
The scepter and lawgiver, from his line,
A foreshadowing of the Messiah's sign.
Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, and Gad,
Asher, Naphtali, and their heritage clad,
Each son received, their father's word,
A prophetic blessing, in vision heard.
Joseph, the favored son of old,
A fruitful vine, a story bold,
His blessings overflowed, with abundance great,
His heritage rich, a blessed fate.
Benjamin, the youngest, a wolf so wild,
A mighty warrior, fierce and styled,
Jacob's heart filled with love profound,
For Benjamin, his cherished son, renowned.
In Genesis 49, a patriarch's voice,
A prophetic gift, a heavenly choice,
A legacy passed down, from father to son,
God's plan unfolding, His will be done.
