Late evening. A vast meadow. Almost dark—only along the horizon is the brighter, reddish glow of the setting sun. In the meadow, Chinese lanterns are launched into the sky, lit and set in motion by the fire heating the air within. Multicolored lanterns, in various shapes. Some lanterns are already in the sky. Others are just starting to emerge. A 2-3 lanterns are visible quite close.
