Being in the friendzone is a bit like looking at something through a narrow crack: you catch a few details, just enough to know it’s beautiful, but never enough to truly experience it. You sense that there’s more beyond what you can see, and that awareness only fuels the desire to see it fully, with all your senses, to let yourself be intoxicated by it.
In truth, you don’t really know what’s on the other side. What you see—however genuine and captivating—is still only a fragment of the whole. You know that everyone shows the world just parts of who they are, but with that one specific person, you wish to perceive more. You wish to be more present in her life, and for her to be more present in yours. Because that’s how love is born, after all: as a fragile illusion glimpsed from afar, which sometimes—only sometimes—finds the courage to turn into reality.
