In slumber's grasp, I fell so deep,
Where dreams and reality entwine,
A world so strange, a secret keep,
A realm that's neither yours nor mine.
I saw a dream, so vivid, bright,
A fleeting vision, fleet and fast,
But when I woke, with morning's light,
It slipped away, a memory lost.
I reached out to grasp it tight,
To hold it close, to make it stay,
But it slipped through my fingers light,
A phantom, vanishing away.
And then I woke, with a start,
To find myself in waking's gleam,
And wondered, with a heavy heart,
Was it reality or just a dream?
A dream within a dream, it seems,
A fleeting moment, passing by,
A whisper in the realm of dreams,
A treasure lost, a wistful sigh.
So, hold your dreams, both big and small,
Embrace them tight, don't let them go,
For they may fade, like shadows fall,
A dream within a dream, you'll know.
Let them linger, let them gleam,
And cherish every fleeting scene,
For dreams within dreams hold mystery,
A realm of wonder, a glimpse of glee.
