In ancient times, a tale is told
Of Esau's line, a story bold
In Genesis, Chapter 36
A lineage born of earthly gifts
Esau, firstborn of Isaac's kin
His birthright sold for a bowl of tin
His descendants, mighty and grand
A tribe of warriors, they command
The Edomites, a people strong
With kings and chiefs, they did belong
Their land so rich, their wealth renowned
Their heritage, forever crowned
Dukes and princes, chiefs of might
Descendants of Esau's birthright
From mighty Eliphaz to Reuel's kin
Generations passed, a noble kin
Esau's sons, chiefs of renown
Inhabited a land, a kingdom's crown
With cities built, and walls of stone
A prosperous land, they proudly own
From Timna, Oholibamah too
To Amalek, a tribe they knew
Generations passed, a legacy bright
As Edom's people marched with might
But history tells of wars and strife
As Edom's sons fought for their life
Against invaders, battles won
Their kingdom stood, beneath the sun
Yet, Edom's glory, it did fade
As time moved on, and shadows laid
Their kingdom fell, their power waned
Their story told, but memories remained
In Genesis, Chapter 36
A tale of Esau's lineage, so keen
A legacy of warriors, fierce and bold
Their story etched in history, foretold.
