Maria Sibylla Merian, Kevin Sloan. whimsical moody vintage art, Artwork of two cormorants at a calm lake, amidst high grasses and wildflowers in the sunset dusk, pebbles, big yellow sun, highly stylized painting with abstract motifs and kinetic synergy of colors and shapes, splashes of paint, mixed media collage, textured, soft background, mist, fog, beautiful colors and lighting
Oil painting of two cormorants standing on a rocky shore by a body of water at night. The cormorants are black with dark brown heads and yellow bills, and they are facing left. On the left side of the painting, there is a large, white, luminous moon surrounded by tall, dark green reeds and wild plants with flat-topped flower clusters. In the upper right corner of the painting, there is a small, bright yellow sun in the dark, bluish-gray sky. The water in the foreground reflects the light of the sun and moon, and there are lily pads floating in the water. In the lower left corner, there is a cluster of bright yellow flowers among the reeds. The overall atmosphere is serene and mystical.
