A bubble bath of clouds
upon a starry night,
The moon's luminous
presence
giving light
of peace
and tranquility.
And so
she nestled deep
within
luxuriating in
this moment
of quiet—free
from the call
of responsibility.
Soon she fell to sleeping,
then dreaming
as only goddesses do—
with an imagination,
sensations
that are
beautiful
and true.
And so she
nestled deeper
and deeper still—
sleeping through
until the morning sun
rose, warmed her
to awaken
and meet
the new
horizon.
