THE WAR
In fields where once the flowers bloomed, now only shadows lie, The echoes of a time long past, beneath a blood-red sky. Humanity's sweet essence lost, to cries and cannon's roar, For war has claimed its heavy toll, and shrouds what was before.
Where laughter danced upon the breeze, now whispers of despair, A world once filled with light and love, reduced to vacant stares. The hearts that beat with kindness' fire, now hardened, cold as stone, For war has crushed the spirit's spark, and left us all alone.
The bonds that once united us, dissolved in fear and hate, As brother turned on brother, and sealed each other's fate. What once was built with tender hands, now lies in disarray, For war's relentless, cruel grip has torn it all away.
