ArtistA folk art painting of a rustic village scene in autumn, characterized by bold lines and geometric shapes. In the foreground, a prominent gnarled tree with bright yellow and orange leaves and floral clusters dominates the left side. The ground is a rich tapestry of green, yellow, and orange foliage, with large, angular gray rocks scattered amidst the greenery. A winding stream or river, with dark blue and lighter blue reflections, flows through the centre of the painting, bordered by more rocks and plants. To the right, a charming wooden house with a red roof, yellow walls, and blue-paned windows stands out. Its facade features multiple windows, with more abstract windows and elements on the side. Behind this house, another smaller wooden house with similar features is nestled amongst the trees. Further back, additional houses with varying roof colours and details can be glimpsed, suggesting a small community. The background is a dramatic blend of dark browns, with patches of deep blue and muted greens, adding depth and contrast to the lively foreground. Stylized trees with yellow leaves punctuate the background, contributing to the autumnal feel. The overall style is reminiscent of Russian folk art, with heavy outlines, distinct colour blocking.
