A digital painting captures a gritty marina scene at dusk, featuring decrepit boats and industrial decay. Weathered textures, murky waters, and moody colors create a haunting atmosphere filled with urban remnants.
This song was inspired by visiting Wilmington Harbor right after the first rain of the year. The Marina is on the mouth of what I think is Compton Creek. It starts as a storm drain at the base of Dominguez Hills and winds its way through industrialized areas flushing all that has been dumped into the creek over the past year. This photo is lacking the garbage I encountered, but I am ever the optimist and hope for the best for the folks who reside at the mouth of that industrial river. Living on the water in the sun just Raking it in.
