On a white-cream, uneven background with a rough paper texture, using a pencil and charcoal sticks, sketch a quick, schematic a graceful, ethereal, slender ballerina, just as fashion designers do, dancing amongst mirrors in the ‘Arabesque’ position. Her tutu is elongated to the knees, hollow inside and flared like a bell; her tutu skirt is made from red, white and pink small paper clips fastened together. Her back is bare, and her bodice is adorned with a spiral of red and white paper clips. The ballerina holds a small, delicate bouquet of scarlet, translucent anemones. Her pointe shoes are red, and she wears a tiara made of red and white paper clips. The ballerina’s beautiful reflections in the mirrors create an atmospheric, poetic effect. Mixed media: acrylic, soft charcoal, pastel and coloured ink. A highly artistic execution and composition in a style reminiscent of Liu Yi, Laura Laine, Piet Paris, Edgar Degas, Yulia Brodskaya and William Blake. Full size image, no text, no copyright
