Warm, tender oil painting of the cat from the reference images, curled and sweetly sleeping in a miniature Central Park. The cat is large enough to cover a sizeable portion of the park and is not wearing a collar or tag. Children, very tiny in comparison to the cat, play delightedly atop the cat; some are climbing its sides by hand or with small ladders. City streets adjoining the park fringe the edge of the image. Style of Clara Peeters & Maurice Prendergast. Colour palette of soft blues and greens, creamy white, grays, with vibrant deep red and gold highlights.
