Images such as these remind me of my youth, as my parents were both artists and had many interesting paintings hanging on the walls of my childhood home.

We had one that looked very similar to this one, and I used to stand in front of it and stare at it wondering what those little streets would be like to walk along. I decided that it would be nearly impossible, as the cobble stone lanes seemed to be non-existent in this style of painting, but it's fun to look back through the eyes of a child and remember such thoughts ... all brought about by a simple style filter.
