Autumn Robin in Watercolour

More about Autumn Robin in Watercolour

Watercolor painting of a plump European robin sitting on a branch among autumn leaves, red berries, and white flowers against a moody dark blue and bright yellow abstract background. The robin has a grey head, orange breast and underparts, and dark wings with fine golden highlights. Bright red winter berries grow in clusters on thorny branches, while scattered golden-yellow and brown autumn maple leaves add warmth. Delicate white five-petaled flowers float throughout the upper scene against the dark, night-like sky. In the upper left, a soft, pale moon glows amidst yellow washes. In the lower right corner, two shiny red and gold baubles hang subtly from the branch. The overall style is whimsical and illustrative, with soft watercolor textures and blended washes of color.
