A terrifyingly surreal oil painting depicting a deserted, decaying fairground at dusk. Twisted, gnarled shadows stretch and writhe, appearing to chase the last slivers of fading light across rusted rides and tattered tents. The atmosphere is oppressive and melancholic, with hints of a grotesque, dreamlike quality. Muted, desaturated colours palette with stark contrasts. Signed JKW
An oil painting of an abandoned, desolate carnival with rusted rides and tattered tents under a muted, eerie sky at dusk. The foreground features a large, gnarled, dark tree with thick roots extending into the ground, casting long, dark, wavy shadows across a dirt path. To the left of the tree is a dilapidated red and white striped carnival tent with holes and decaying fabric, and behind it, a rusted chain swing ride. To the right of the path, another weathered red and white striped tent stands, with a wooden cart wheel visible beside it. In the background, multiple rusted Ferris wheels of various sizes are silhouetted against a pale orange and grey sky, indicating either sunrise or sunset. The ground is barren and littered with debris. The overall mood is somber and spooky, with a distinct horror aesthetic.
