"A monumental, cinematic, painterly fantasy illustration, shot from a low angle inside an immense, ruined gothic cathedral hall. The stone walls are cracked and desaturated, the floor covered in grey dust, scattered paper sheets and fallen masonry. Pillars rise into darkness, and a broken rose window high above lets in a single shaft of pale light. In the center of the hall hangs a colossal cocoon, three stories tall, built from layers of grey concrete slabs, rusted iron straps, stacked old paper files and heavy chains, as if a whole lifetime of walls had been wrapped around something living. The cocoon has split open from top to bottom. Out of the gap a gigantic butterfly is emerging, its wings still half folded and slightly damp, unfurling in slow motion. Its wings are translucent like stained glass, with fine dark leading lines separating panes of luminous color: deep violet, ocean blue, emerald, gold, coral red, and soft pastel pink, light blue and white in the inner panes. Light shines through the wings and casts huge, colorful patterns across the grey walls, the floor and the dust in the air, so the whole hall begins to glow. Where the colored light touches the stone, small wildflowers and green moss sprout through the cracks. Fragments of the broken cocoon, chips of concrete and torn pages, drift in the air like falling petals. A few pages catch the light and turn into small glowing butterflies that rise toward the broken window. Composition: strongly symmetrical, with the butterfly at the center and the shaft of light as the vertical axis. No people, no faces, no hands. No readable text anywhere. Mood: awe-inspiring, liberating and deeply emotional, the moment of breaking out of something that was built around you and becoming who you always were.
