My sister's birthday falls on the anniversary of the NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999 (March 24), and my second war.
Although she was already independent before that, I believe this was a turning point in her journey to becoming the successful and strong woman she is today. She is now the director of an institute that fully supports scientific research and, when necessary, such as now, during the protests of students and citizens against the repression of the ruling parties, she demonstrates her revolutionary spirit.

These young students, who are light-years ahead of us in every way, are our only chance to change the country for the better. But they cannot do it alone unless we, the citizens, continue to support them as we have for the past four months. The president is slowly sinking into his own lies, like quicksand, while we keep moving forward.
This is not just a spring of resistance. This is a marathon.
