In Genesis, a tale is told,
Of Isaac, son of Abraham bold.
A man of faith, a man of might,
Whose blessings shone with divine light.
Rebekah, his loving wife,
A treasure in his earthly life.
Their love, a bond that could not break,
A union blessed for Heaven's sake.
But barren was Rebekah's womb,
Causing sorrow, casting gloom.
They prayed to God with all their heart,
For a child, a gift to impart.
God heard their pleas, and answered true,
With twins in Rebekah's womb, they grew.
Esau, the elder, born first in line,
Hairy and red, a child divine.
Jacob, the younger, smooth and fair,
Grasped Esau's heel with a daring flair.
Two brothers, different from the start,
With blessings that would set them apart.
Isaac loved Esau, the hunter bold,
But Rebekah's heart for Jacob strolled.
One day, as Esau came from the field,
Jacob cooked a cunning meal concealed.
"Give me your birthright," Jacob said,
"Or you'll go hungry, unfed."
Esau, famished and weak with hunger,
Sold his birthright in a moment of blunder.
Thus, the blessing Isaac planned to give,
Was now for Jacob to receive.
With Rebekah's help, Jacob disguised,
As Esau, he would be baptized.
Isaac, blind and near his end,
Bestowed the blessing, not comprehending.
Upon Jacob, the younger son,
He poured his blessings, one by one.
When Esau learned of the deceit,
He sought revenge with anger's heat.
But Jacob fled, with fear's embrace,
Leaving home, a distant place.
Yet God was with him, through the years,
Guiding, guarding, calming fears.
Jacob prospered, had sons and wealth,
Living a life of spiritual health.
In Genesis 25, a tale is told,
Of blessings lost, and blessings bold.
Through faith and trials, God's plan unfurled,
A story of blessings that changed the world.
