A watercolor painting shows a landscape of marshes and dry land at sunset or sunrise, with silhouetted trees against a glowing orange sky, grey clouds overhead, and flying birds. In the foreground, winding streams of water weave through patches of yellowish-green ground, reflecting the light of the low-hanging sun on the horizon. Silhouetted, tall, thin trees with sparse foliage line the left and right sides of the image, their dark trunks and branches stark against the bright sunset. A flock of birds, rendered as small, dark shapes, is scattered across the sky, with some flying near the sun and others higher up amongst the grey and black clouds. The style is expressive and loose, with bleeding colors and visible brushstrokes, characteristic of watercolor paintings.
