Une belle soirée lumineuse du début de l'été, dans la quiétude du soir. Une jeune bergère douce est assise avec son chien de berger fidèle sous une glycine fleurie en violet qui grimpe gracieusement contre le mur rustique de la bergerie. Au sol, des lavandes en fleur bleu-violet ont prospéré en touffes abondantes. Un peu plus loin, un bignonia orange vif s'étend sous la fenêtre de la vieille dépendance en pierre jaunes transformée en logis chaleureux. Un petit escalier de pierre usé monte jusqu'à la porte d'entrée en bois sombre. Le feuillage vert profond de chênes centenaires dépasse le toit en ardoise grise qui amasse des mousses vertes. Une girouette en forme de coq brillant en métal doré capture les derniers rayons de soleil orange du coucher.
