Originally, the cats were also supposed to be pink, but DaVinci2 preferred the more common orange ones. The pink tint of the entire image is probably the maximum that can be achieved if the image is to look like a photograph.
The cats are probable in front and the house is in some distance, compare color of the snow (probably lighted by read or pink Christmas decoration out of the view).
