In Joshua Chapter 13, a new phase begins,
The Promised Land, they had to win,
God's faithfulness, a gift so grand,
As Joshua led, with God's command.
The land was conquered, battles won,
But still much work was left undone,
God spoke to Joshua, "You're not yet through,
There's more to do, I have more for you."
The Promised Land, still to be possessed,
By tribes and clans, yet to be addressed,
Joshua's task, to divide the land,
To each their portion, as God had planned.
Though aged, Joshua heeded the call,
To fulfill God's promise, one and all,
With strength and courage, he pressed on,
To finish the task, though the years had gone.
For God's word, it never fails,
His promises, like unbroken trails,
In Joshua Chapter 13, we see,
The promise fulfilled, for all to decree.
So let us learn from Joshua's story,
To trust in God's unchanging glory,
To press ahead, with faith so true,
For God's promises, they will come through.
