Merk, the main character, is at school Mjolnir, located on the outskirts of Trodan city. He is feeling restless and uninterested in the upcoming exam. Merk's delinquent friends invite him to skip class and hang out on the rooftop, where they enjoy the cool breeze and the sound of the bustling city below. Despite encountering a stranger and struggling to break the padlock on the door to the rooftop, they finally make it to the bench with the front row view of the city, where they enjoy the peace and calm of the morning.
