There is a small and quaint village perched above a ravine on a tropical island that looks out over the peaceful ocean. There is a woman who lives in this small village. She is descended from Naiads; nymphs who once lived in watery places. She usually wears a green diaphanous dress, and has small, vestigial gills in her neck. The village was placed under a spell a thousand years ago. Nobody who lives outside of the villages knows what the spell is; it is a secret closely kept by the people in the village. Being only part human; the Naiad doesn't know the secret. She knows only that the spell has many effects on her life. The most prominent being that she can hear the man she loves from half-a-mile away, and whenever this happens, her eyelids become heavy and close, and she slips into a dream. She dreams of ancient Naiads and their men and their children and the kingdom they once inhabited under the sea. Orchids. She spends most of her days in a pool that is lined with red iridescent tiles, and overlooks the sea. There are red hibiscus planted around the pool. No text please.
