The rusted sheets of corrugated iron,
Stand weathered by the desert wind.
They frame a world of geometric lines,
Where sun and shadow are intertwined.
With silver seams and roofs of tin,
They echo stories of the outback trail.
A patchwork shelter built within,
The red dirt flats where storms prevail.
They catch the blaze of setting sun,
In shifting tones of gold and red.
A silent home when day is done,
Beneath the vast sky overhead.
