In an artist’s studio, an easel holds a canvas depicting a magical scene: a coffee cup with cascading coffee, from which—at the bottom of the painting—a river of coffee emerges and spills onto the wooden floor. The coffee escapes the painting as if by magic, dripping from the canvas onto the floor. The piece is executed in a watercolor style, using the "wet-on-wet" technique. The work is signed in the lower-left corner by Francisco Rodríguez Soto.
A vibrant photograph captures a watercolor painting on an easel in the corner of a rustic artist studio with dark wooden floorboards, a window on the left, and a wooden table on the right. The white-framed canvas has a watercolor painting of a castle on the right, surrounded by trees and mountains, painted in tones of purple and blue with a splash of yellow in the sky. In the upper left portion of the canvas, a white porcelain teacup with a thin black rim sits, tilted and spilling thick dark coffee out of it. The coffee flows down onto the left half of the canvas, pooling into a brown river that winds down the page, off the bottom of the canvas, and onto the floor below. A signature reads Francisco Rodriguez Soto on the lower left of the canvas. The sunlight shines through the window on the left, illuminating the left side of the room.
