The thing came crawling out of the arithmetic like it had a warrant. Pink as a fresh lie and covered in spikes that looked grown from old debts, it sat in the middle of a recursive storm, multiplying itself through mirrors nobody remembered building. Every curve folded into a smaller curve. Every mouth opened into another mouth. The landscape kept copying itself, not because it wanted to, but because it couldn’t stop.
The creature knew all the shortcuts. It slipped through affine alleys and fractal backroads, leaving fingerprints on dimensions that weren’t supposed to exist. A million versions of it drifted through the dark, each one carrying the same expression: part wonder, part suspicion.
The geometry bent under the weight of repetition. Mountains unfolded into seas, seas into nerves, nerves into galaxies. Somewhere deep inside the endless feedback, the original image was still hiding, small as a secret and stubborn as memory. And the strange pink traveler kept searching for it, spiraling forever through the machinery of its own reflection.
