The Rainy Day Cafe A wildly surreal neighbourhood café during a rainstorm, packed with eccentric customers calmly drinking coffee while dozens of tiny colourful rain clouds float inside the room at head height. Each cloud rains directly onto one table, creating miniature thunderstorms above coffee cups while everything around them remains completely dry. One customer casually holds a tiny umbrella over their cappuccino, another reads a newspaper beneath a personal rainbow, while a drenched waiter carries an enormous glowing pink cake through the chaos. Outside the windows, the city is strangely bright and sunny. Electric cobalt blue, cherry red, butter yellow, hot pink and emerald green interiors, glossy wet surfaces, patterned tiles, vintage furniture and exaggerated oversized pastries. Steam from coffee intertwines with clouds, lightning flashes inside tiny storm systems and puddles reflect the saturated colours.
