Surreal humorous art, magical realism. Autumn Canadian swamp on the boreal plains. September, distant mountains are visible on the horizon in the haze. Morning golden hour, the sun's rays stunningly illuminate the cirrus clouds, the first snowflakes flutter in the air. A small white paddle steamer is walking along the swamp from left to right. Large leather boots are fixed to each of the two paddle wheels along the perimeter and, squelching with these boots, the steamer makes its way further and further along the swamp. Sparks and clouds of black smoke are pouring out of the steamer's funnel. On the deck of the steamer there is a battered deck chair in which a large six-foot toad is lying. The toad is wearing a bright pink polo shirt, a meerschaum NAVY smoking pipe is in the toad's mouth, and a captain's cap is on his head. In his front paws, the toad holds an unfolded map of the area and carefully studies it. The atmosphere of light cheerful adventure and discovery of new horizons.
