The Tailor in Heaven
God goes for a walk. Only Peter stays behind. He is not allowed to let anyone in, but a tailor begs to sit behind the door. When Peter is gone, he looks around and sits down on God's chair. He sees the world and angrily throws the footstool at a thieving washerwoman. Then he hides again. When God notices the loss, he summons the tailor, who tells him everything. God rebukes his arrogance and sends him away. The tailor goes to Warteinweil to live with the pious soldiers.

Gott geht spazieren. Nur Petrus bleibt da. Er darf niemand einlassen, doch erbettelt sich ein Schneider, hinter der Tür zu sitzen. Als Petrus weg ist, sieht er sich um und setzt sich auf Gottes Stuhl. Er sieht die Welt und wirft zornig den Fußschemel auf eine diebische Wäscherin. Dann versteckt er sich wieder. Als Gott den Verlust bemerkt, lässt er den Schneider kommen, der ihm alles erzählt. Gott rügt seine Anmaßung und schickt ihn weg. Der Schneider geht nach Warteinweil zu den frommen Soldaten.
