“Patience is a virtue”. Wise words of the Supreme Time Lord.

That was five hundred years ago.

I am still waiting.

I was approached on Earth in medieval times, in most dire circumstances. I was a mighty knight, dying on a battlefield, lost, mutilated, and ready to meet my maker. One of the Time Lords took what remained of my body and transplanted my brain into a new, artificial shell.

Eventually, I became a significant Time Lord myself.

I demanded to wear my knight’s armor over my sophisticated android form. It was not sentimentality; it was to assure continuity. Thus I became known as the Knight Time Lord, and I lived through extraordinary adventures across time and space.

Until the day I was summoned to meet the Supreme Time Lord.

It was the highest honor any Time Lord could receive. He placed me in command of a small elite division within the Eternal City. Yet that was not my true task. From that moment onward, my duty was to wait for a specific, pivotal event.

“Your time will come,” the powerful Supreme Time Lord stated, “and when it does, you must perform a single, decisive action. It will be the most crucial act you will ever take in this plane of existence. The survival of the Universe depends upon it.”

He never told me when this should happen.

And so I waited.

Five hundred years have passed in vigilance, not inactivity. I have stood watch while eras folded into history and futures rehearsed themselves endlessly. I have not been idle; I have been ready all this time.

I will never forget the final words the Supreme Time Lord spoke to me:

“When Time is always with you, solitude becomes impossible; every moment carries the echo of all the others.”

PRAISE THE SUPREME TIME LORD.

TIME IS ALWAYS WITH YOU.
